In platform events speakers present an original 10 minute speech.  Speakers are judged on creativity, clear organization, significance, and delivery.

Informative: A 10 minute speech meant to enhance audience understanding of a relevant topic beyond what was previously known.

Persuasive: A 10 minute speech meant to address a problem and provide possible solutions using sound rhetorical strategy, well-supported arguments, and credible sources.

After Dinner Speaking: A 10 minute speech that presents a relevant argument through the use of humor.  

Communication Analysis: A 10 minute speech designed to describe, analyze and evaluate the rhetorical dynamics related to a significant rhetorical artifact or event.
